About Sandie Chancery Lane Primitives

Hi, thanks for stopping by. My name is Sandie, and I am the creator of all the people and critters who live on the web page. I was born in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania and have carried the images of those old make- do dolls with me through the years. I was always creating some sort of doll, using cloth, paper or corn husks, whatever was available. I learned very young to make do and create and that still resonates in my spirit today. I now live in upstate New York with my husband and biggest supporter and friend, Charlie. I also share my world with Snickers, the dog, and Abigale Louise, Willie, and Rosie our three Siamese cats. We have one son attending Drexel University in Philly and one son who is here in Rochester attending college. My dolls and critters are inspired by many talented artists through patterns or just birthed in my mind. I hope you enjoy my world. I am a proud member of The New York Crafters and love living in the Rochester area. Lake Ontario is wonderful and we have oddles of talented artists...all an inspiration. I have recently opened a shoppe in Victor,NY called GATHERINGS. Nancy and Cheryle and I are partners and we have been open since the end of September.
